Our Mission
At Blackmon Pediatrics, our goal is to come alongside children and their parents as they grow and develop from birth all the way through college (age 21). We aim to partner with our patients and their families by focusing on the health of each child and his/her family system as a whole, not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually.
What we do
Pediatric Care
We could not be doing anything else. A love of children and families have led us to pursue a style and scope of practice which echoes our own family. Diverse, busy, love-filled. We continue to embrace our choice to work with children. We understand children are not simply small adults but face unique medical and behavioral challenges. The joys of participating in the growth of children and families continue to inspire.
Medical Missions
With the devastation of Hurricane Katrina came an unexpected desire to reach beyond our traditional geographic boundaries. While serving those of New Orleans both Dr. Greg, Dr. Abby and Molly developed a persistent desire to help others in distant regions. This has led to medical mission trips to Costa Rica, Haiti, and with the addition of Taylor Scott, the Sudan. We are continually dreaming, planning, recruiting, collecting in anticipation of our next mission field.

We strive to facilitate and elevate the health of our community’s children. Using our experience and training in pediatric health and development, Blackmon Pediatrics joins families in raising healthy children. Our goal is to unite families in health and love through education, application of modern and experienced pediatric healthcare principles and authentic relationships with families.

Love this office! The walls are all beautifully painted! I love that there are separate waiting rooms for well and sick visits. All the staff is so nice. We see Mrs. Kelly Wolfe and love her! She is so knowledgeable, provides great resources and our little guy loves her. She has such a positive attitude and addresses any concerns I have about my infant. We are so grateful to have Blackmon pediatrics! Molly is my daughter’s favorite and she’s so kind and understanding. It’s wonderful to have a vaccine friendly option in Knoxville when it seems like all of the pediatricians around here expect you to get 100% of their vaccines on their time schedule without any exceptions or understanding. Blackmon encourages you to get the CDC vaccines and informs you about them, but also understands if there is one you want to delay or skip on. This was huge for us. I highly recommend Blackmon for several reasons, but especially for their care and attention for our children!
My husband and I traveled to Tennessee to adopt our daughter, and we had the pleasure of meeting Molly Marks at the hospital. From the very beginning, she provided exceptional care and support, making us feel comfortable during such an important time. She went above and beyond to keep us informed and ensure we had everything we needed.
Dr.Greg is the best! My daughter has seen him since birth. He cares for her as if she was his. He always listens to our concerns!
We have two daughters and have been using this office since our first was born. They have made us feel at home and so comfortable and well educated on how to care for our babies. Dr. Greg helped diagnose our daughters very rare lung disease and saw us in the office multiple times to make sure we felt comfortable and knew how to help her. Michelle and Kelly have both been incredible in such a tough season.
Our 5 kids have seen Cheri Tedford for the past 6 years since we moved here and we love her! She is so friendly and personable and always makes me feel listened to and confident in whatever decision needs to be made.
